This Privacy Policy applies to the Southpay Digital Solutions mobile application and the website https://southpaytn.in (together, the "Platform").
To provide you with uninterrupted use of our services, we may collect and, in some circumstances, disclose information about you with your permission. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.
By visiting https://southpaytn.in or using the mobile application, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, storage and use of your information as described here. 1. Definitions
"We", "Our" and "Us" mean the Platform and/or the Company, as the context requires.
"You", "Your", "User" and "Customer" mean natural and legal persons who use the Platform and who are competent to enter into binding contracts under Indian law.
"Services" means the services offered on the Platform, including recharge, bill payment, money transfer, payouts and payment collection.
"Third Parties" means any application, company or individual other than the User and the Company.
"Personal Information" means any personally identifiable information we may collect from you, such as name, date of birth, gender, contact details, location, identity documents and bank account details (see section 2).
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following information:
- Personal details such as name, mobile number, email address, date of birth and address.
- Business / shop details such as shop name, location and category.
- KYC details such as PAN, Aadhaar (only the last 4 digits are stored), photographs and other documents required by law.
- Bank account details such as account number, IFSC code and account holder name, for transfers and settlements.
- Transaction details such as amounts, beneficiaries, recharge numbers and payment references.
- Technical information such as IP address, device ID, browser type and pages visited, when you use the Platform.
We collect and use only the information we consider necessary to:
- Provide the services you choose;
- Verify your identity and prevent fraud;
- Send you account and transaction information;
- Provide customer support;
- Comply with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
Where a service you request involves a third party (for example a bank, payment gateway, telecom operator or biller), we share only the information reasonably needed to complete that service.
Payment-related information (such as card or bank details) is only transacted through approved payment gateways and banking partners over encrypted connections. The Company will not use your financial information for any purpose other than completing your transactions.
You may choose not to provide certain information, but some services may then not be available to you. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
Transacting over the internet carries inherent risks. Please never share your password, transaction PIN or OTP with anyone, and inform our customer care immediately about any suspicious activity on your account.

- Process your transactions and maintain records;
- Verify your identity and prevent fraud and misuse;
- Communicate with you about your account and transactions;
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We use technical information such as IP address and device ID to keep your account secure, troubleshoot problems and understand how the Platform is used.
We will not sell, license or trade your personal information. We share it only with parties acting on our instructions to provide the Services (such as banks, payment gateways and service providers), or where we are required to do so by law.
4. How Information Is Collected
Before or at the time of collecting personal information, we will identify the purpose for which it is collected. We collect personal information by lawful and fair means, with your knowledge and consent, and use it only for the purposes stated or as required by law.
Personal information should be relevant to its purpose and, as far as necessary for that purpose, accurate, complete and up to date.
5. Cookies
We use cookies on the Platform. Cookies are small files stored by your browser that help us keep you logged in securely and provide a better experience. Our session cookies let you log in once while you move through secure areas of the Platform and allow our server to tell your session apart from other users'.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Platform, including login, may not work without them.

The Platform may contain links to other websites or services that we do not control. We are not responsible for the availability, content or privacy practices of those websites. Please review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

Information that is freely available in the public domain, or furnished under the Right to Information Act, 2005 or any other law, is not considered sensitive.
External service providers who help you use the Platform (for example banks and payment gateways) are governed by their own privacy policies for the information you provide to them.
10. Accessing and Updating Your Profile
You can review your profile information on the Platform. Certain details such as your registered mobile number, bank account and PAN can be changed only by contacting us, so that we can verify the change. If you believe any information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, please contact us to correct it.
11. Your Password and Transaction PIN
You are responsible for keeping your password and transaction PIN confidential. Do not share them with anyone, including people claiming to be from Southpay Digital Solutions. If you believe your password or PIN has been compromised, change it immediately and inform us.
12. Security
We protect your data against loss and unauthorised access using industry-standard practices, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords and PINs, access controls and audit logs. However, no security system is completely impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee that information transmitted over the internet will never be intercepted.
13. Data Retention
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Transaction and KYC records are retained for the periods required under applicable law, including the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 and RBI directions (generally at least five years after a transaction or the end of the business relationship). Other personal data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.
14. Governing Law
We are governed by the applicable laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as and when applicable.
15. Severability
Each paragraph of this policy is separate and independent. If any paragraph is held invalid, the remaining paragraphs remain in effect.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on the Platform.
